The Lean Management Specialist (Operational Excellence) is responsible for the systematic development of the company’s operational performance. The purpose of the function is to optimize organizational processes by eliminating waste, reducing inefficiencies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. These efforts must result in the improvement of productivity, efficiency, quality, space utilization, process stability and standardization across all areas of the company.

The role identifies improvement potential along the value chain, leads cross-functional optimization projects, and ensures that proven Lean methods, best practices, and operational business processes are effectively established, implemented, monitored, and regularly optimized.

Zakres obowiązków
  • Analyze existing production and business processes with regard to productivity, throughput time, scrap, rework, inventories, downtime, and waste.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize improvement potential in both direct and administrative areas.
  • Develop and implement measures to increase output, equipment availability, employee efficiency, and process stability.
  • Introduce and further develop Lean methods such as 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, Yamazumi, Shopfloor Management, Standard Work, SMED, TPM, problem-solving methods, PDCA, A3, and visual management together with the responsible specialist departments, including in the context of customer projects.
  • Analyze and optimize existing production, assembly, warehouse, and material flow layouts together with the specialist departments.
  • Support new planning activities, relocations, capacity expansions, and industrialization projects.
  • Plan, manage, and implement cross-functional improvement and Operational Excellence projects.
  • Facilitate workshops, Kaizen events, problem-solving sessions, interdisciplinary project teams, and agile-oriented focus sprints.
  • Prepare status reports, and results presentations for management committees.
  • Identify, document, and evaluate internal and external best practices in Production, Quality, Logistics, and supporting processes.
  • Standardize successful approaches, methods, KPIs, and process standards.
  • Roll out best practices across departments, plants, or locations.
Poszukiwane kompetencje
  • Completed technical or industrial engineering degree, e.g. mechanical engineering, production engineering, plastics engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in Production, Lean Management, Industrial Engineering, Operational Excellence, or Quality Management.
  • Practical knowledge of LEAN methods and tools (VSM/VSD, Kaizen, Kanban, Heijunka, SMED, Yamazumi, Poka-Yoke, PDCA, etc.)
  • Experience in leading cross-functional improvement or transformation projects using DMAIC and PDCA.
  • Several years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Lean Management and Operational Excellence, Project Management, and Change Management.
  • Quality methods such as 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, and PDCA.
  • Advanced in English, German is an additional advantage
